Fabulous baker: this last batch of bagels was by far the best one yet. I put some in the freezer so I could prolong the joy.

Welcome to the Prairie Flour Bakery!

Prairie Flour Bakery is a miniscule artisan bakery located in Iowa City’s Northside neighborhood. ”Miniscule” because I seldom bake more than 70 loaves in a week; ”artisan” because each loaf is handmade, start to finish. All of the breads are made with organic ingredients whenever possible and I bake them in a wood-fired oven.
